Updating mIRC

Step 1.

Download the latest version of mIRC from the official mIRC website

Step 2.

Run the mIRC.exe that was downloaded and follow the prompts. Below is how we recomend you perform an upgrade. Note: while upgrading you MUST close your current mIRC sessions

The Introduction. This one should be an easy selection. Press Next!

Humour me.. Read them once in a while? Press I Agree :)

Now the interesting part. You probably have some custom scripts that you want to keep. Look at the above options under a custom install method. This wont overwrite any changes you have made but will update the usefull parts such as the Help Files etc.

Choose where you want to Install to. Generally the correct path is given in this example. But if you have your mIRC installed in another location browse to that location.

This will place a mIRC section in your Start menu. Optionally. Do not create shortcuts... do as you wish.

Done. Tick Run if you wanna start mIRC strait away. then Finish!
